“Clean” Product Details
Hi there, guys! Today is the day I’m finally sharing my favorite “clean” products. I put it in quotations because that can mean different things for people. For me, I try to use non-toxic products that are made without a long list of ingredients linked to harmful health effects. Here’s what I avoid: parabens, phthalates, PEGs, ethanolamines, chemical sunscreens, synthetic fragrance, BHT, BHA.
I have been using a number of the products listed below prior to becoming pregnant, but after finding out I was expecting, I did a deeper dive into ingredients. I have found many great options for daily use without all of the toxins. See below for my favorite 15 items, links to shop and a bit more detail about each.

Favorite 15 “Clean” Beauty & Skin Products
Deodorant – Native: I have been using this deodorant for over 3 years. I discovered it when a girlfriend of mine sent me some to try. I’d been looking for an aluminum free option for awhile but hadn’t found anything I liked. Ya know, that actually made me not smell and have a weird scent! At last, I found Native!! It is not only aluminum free but made without parabens, phthalates, and talc. I workout often, sweating like the “average” person, and it really works for me! I apply it once a day, maybe twice if I’m sweating more than usual. It gets the job done without all the toxins.
Toothpaste – David’s: If you’re look for a natural option, this is your best bet. I’ve tried 5 different brands and have not liked the paste consistency and/or flavor. David’s is fluoride free, made with quality ingredients to safely & effectively whiten teeth, fight plaque, and freshen breath. Sounds about right!
Body Lotion – M-61: As many of you know, I live in a high desert climate in Idaho. That basically means it’s dry AF all the time! When I moved here from LA about a year ago I started to try numerous body lotions but nothing was keeping my skin hydrated. I finally came across a lotion from a brand I already loved, M-16. It was a complete game changer! NO more flakey, dry skin. Great news about this product, it’s nourishing body butter helps to firm, soothe and improve skin’s elasticity. It also has added peptides and vitamin B5 to help promote firming, while aloe, coconut oil and shea butter. Do I need to say more?! Get it – period.
Tanning Lotion – Beauty By Earth: Ok, this one took me a minute to find. After looking into spray tanning solutions while pregnant, I quickly realized I may just be white AF for the next 9 months as it’s not safe. Many doctors recommended to avoid spray tans during pregnancy because the effects of inhaling it are not known. I could handle not tanning, but my legs where like, Kasey try to find something… anything!! 🙂 SO, I began my search for a more natural lotion that would give my skin a little glow. I found one in Beauty by Earth. Hallelujah!! I’ve used it all summer long and y’all, it’s legit! Make sure to use a glove when applying. You don’t want an orange palms. 😉
Shampoo/Conditioner – Rahua: Warning… this has a distinct smell! Maybe it’s due to my current pregnancy, but I want to throw that out there. This shampoo/conditioner has a fennel-like scent, which honestly, reminds me of Halloween! Ya, so I’m all about it but I know it’s not everyones cup of tea. I’m one of those gals that washes her hair about every two days. I’ve found after using these products for 3+ months, my hair feels healthier and more hydrated. If you’re looking for a clean brand, give Rahua a go!
Face Mask (sheet) – Pacifica: Y’all know I can’t live without my mask life moments! After doing pregnancy safe research, I soon realized many face products were not ok for baby, including many sheet masks. I am happy to say, the Pacifica option I was already in love with, got the green light! It’s made with kale, charcoal, cilantro and green tea. Ya, I’m here for that! Many struggle with acne during pregnancy due to cray hormones, myself included, and this sheet mask is made for oily and blemish prone skin. It has definitely helped to calm irritated areas! I apply a sheet mask 1-2 times a week and I think you babes should hop on board too! Your face will thank you. 🙂
Face Mask (cream) – Algenist: If you’re not one that loves sheet masks, try the good ole fashion face cream. It’s a color morphing mask that rebalances, detoxifies, and hydrates skin with prebiotic and probiotic, leaving your face feeling healthy and alive with a youthful glow. Basically it’s magic in a jar!

If you’re looking for an overall “clean” brand free of parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, sulfates, synthetic fragrance and petroleum, give Pacifica a try!

I have found many irritate my skin and come to find out, it’s because all of the chemicals used. I’m happy to say I found a clean version that not only removes makeup but hydrates and soothes my skin at the same time. Y’all NEED to try these!

Eye Cream – M-61: If you have been following me for a minute, you may have picked up on the fact I’m skincare obsessed. This is one of my Beauty standouts in the eye cream category. I’ve tried SO many and I can’t get enough of this product. It’s hydrating, firming and smoothing, made with hyaluronic, vitamin B5 & tamarind. Sounds good to me! I apply this every. single. night.
Body Scrub – Pacifica: Again, Pacifica kills it with the most amazing scents! This foaming body scrub is supercharged with quartz crystals, sugar and watermelon to help cleanse and remove dull skin. I’m here for it!
Face Sunscreen – EltaMD: I get asked about my go-to sunscreens ALL THE TIME. I’m very rigid about protecting the skin so ya know I’ve tried a bunch of brands. Once I became pregnant, I knew I needed to steer clear of chemical sunscreen and look for a mineral option. It took me a minute, but I finally found a specific tinted version from EltaMD that fit the bill. Safe for baby AND I loved the product – done and done!
Nail Polish – Cotê: I discovered this lovely brand about 3 years ago when I lived in LA. Their boutique happened to be down the street from my condo and I would get my nails done there regularly. I soon educated myself of their nail products and realized they are toxic-free. So what does that mean exactly?? All of their items are free from formaldehyde, toluene, DBT, formaldehyde resin, camphor, TPHP, xylene, ethyl tosylamide/epoxy resin and parabens. When I feel like giving myself a mani at home, I use Cotê.
