Fixer Upper Guest Bathroom Details

Hey there! I’m excited to share my first before and after post of our fixer upper home. Today it’s all about the guest bathroom, which is now Ford’s bathroom. Since we are in the mountains/country, I went with my go-to farmhouse vibe.

When I first walked into this home I was a little skeptical… the wallpaper situation and paint was something else. See below for the RED I was working with in this space! Scary – huh?! First thing that I said buhhhh bye to in this room, the paisley paper. AND guess what?? We did NOT remove the wallpaper rather painted over it! Crazy – right?! Surprise, surprise, I went with Benjamin Moore “Simply White”.

When it came to the vanity, I wanted a bit more “color”. And yes that’s in quotations as I typically stick with a pretty neutral palette. I love how the Benjamin Moore “Chelsea Gray” turned out. It’s not too dark yet is rich in color. Luckily for us we had extra quartz left over from the kitchen that we used for the countertops. It has a bit of gray mixed in so it was a perfect compliment to the paint.

As you can see the existing vanity is a good size but only had one sink. This is why we decided to punch in another sink. Great for resale and not too costly! Next up I switched out the chrome faucets with some black farmhouse beauties. These are a great budget-friendly option and really elevated the look of this space. I then replaced the one singular mirror and old school vanity lights with rectangular rustic beauties and fun 3-fixture farmhouse lights (under $100!).

I decided not to touch the shower tile as it is a neutral color and that can get pricey. If you recall Luke and I originally purchased this home as a rental property. When we were fixing this place up our goal was to give it a little face lift with simple cosmetic work, but not spend too much money. Since selling our modern farmhouse and moving into what I’m now calling the “country lodge”, it’s worked out SO well. Especially having a kiddo, I’m glad not everything is NEW! LOL

Below I’ve linked all of the finishes I used in this space along with my decor: faux eucalyptus, bath mats, towels and more. Leave a comment if you have a questions!
