Get excited guys! Today we are discussing DOOR HARDWARE! 🙂 I wanted to share my favorite budget-friendly door hardware as well as show you a before and after of our fixer upper home transformation. It makes ALL the difference! Not to mention we re-painted the door Benjamin Moore “Simply White”.
In our last home (the “modern farmhouse”) I used Emtek. It is great mid-range home hardware brand and each door lever was around $110/set. In the fixer upper house we went with a Kwikset option at $29/set. This gives you an idea of how much we saved in this home. The Kwikset brand has good quality hardware, and they look fantastic for a fraction of the price. I ended up going with a black lever with a round base. A bit different than the modern farmhouse as those had a rectangular base.
Keep in mind you will also need to swap out hinges if you are changing the color of your hardware. We went from old 90’s polished brass (see below) to black. Before you order make sure you are purchasing the correct shape. We had rectangular hinges, no round corners. This will make sense once you look at your doors. I want to link the brand we used in our fixer upper here: rectangular and rounded corners.
Below I rounded up all of my favorite budget door hardware options to get this look. I’ve included a few knob options however I prefer levers.
