Favorite Foundations & Concealers I Use During Pregnancy

Hi, babes! Since finding out I’m expecting and sharing the news with all of you, I’ve started to receive more and more questions about skin and beauty during pregnancy. Today I want to share my favorite makeup products to get your skin looking flawless! I know breaking out and hormonal acne can be severe during pregnancy, so we need all the help we can get. Amiright?!! 😉

I’ve put together a video tutorial showing you how I apply these makeup products and the magical coverage they give! Remember, you don’t have to be pregnant to use these makeup gems. I have used a few of them prior to expecting.

Below I have detailed my two favorite foundations and concealers – matte and dewy. I LOVE both from each category and switch off using them. Depending on where you live and skin type, you may want to select the product that would work best for your climate and skin, i.e. I have combo skin and it’s very dry in Idaho, so if I’d have to choose one, I’d go for the more dewy options.

Please note: I am not a skincare expert and/or a doctor. After doing my research, these are the products that I deemed safe for ME during pregnancy.

Favorite Foundations and Concealers {pregnancy safe}

Matte Foundation – Tarte Clay Stick (color: medium neutral & medium sand) This foundation is a new find! I saw it on a list of preg safe foundations on a Doctor’s blog, 15 Minute Beauty, as well as one of my fave bloggers, Brittany Xavier. I tend to like more dewy foundations but I read the clay sticks had great coverage and was willing to give a try! I was not having any luck with other “natural” and/or safer foundations so I was thrilled when I tried the Tarte sticks. Take a look at my video to see how I apply and the most magical brush I use to do so!!

Matte Concealer – Clé de Peau (color: beige) If you are on the hunt for an amazing coverage concealer to hide under eye bags, circles and brighten up your face, this is for you! It’s pretty magical and worth every penny. See my video tutorial below for its amazing results.

Dewy Foundation – Dior Airflash (color: 301) The Dior foundation is an OG favorite of mine. I first used it 7+ years ago and was hooked. You can better believe I was ecstatic when I found out it was pregnancy safe… que, happy dance! 🙂 I love the consistency, probably my second favorite to the holy grail, Georgia Armani foundation (not preg safe). It feels light on the skin with medium coverage and a dewy finish. Basically you look like you’re wearing a filter… okurrrr! You can easily build with this product if you want more coverage.

Dewy Concealer – Tarte Creaseless Under Eye (color: light-med neutral) One word, hydration!! This concealer is great if you live in a dry climate or during the summer. A little bit goes a long way – see video. This is the most brightening concealer I’ve ever used, really opening up the under eye area. I know I will need to use A LOT of this once the baby arrives 🙂 Note: in the video the packaging is different than what is linked in this post. They changed it to a stick.
