Yup, you are seeing it clearly… a giant life-size CHESS BOARD!  I was visiting Palm Springs and staying at my most favorite mid-century modern hotel, The Parker.  You could say it’s an adult playground, with numerous activities around the property: pools, fire pits, hammocks and the most epic lemonade stand serving the yummiest cocktails!  Check out the hotel here!

Ok, now to my outfit deets!  You may be saying to yourself, did she mean to match her surrounding… well, obvi! I mean… why not be twinsies with the chess board??  CHECKMATE! 🙂  I found these shorts from J.O.A. ($58!) and absolutely loved the floral pattern and coloring.  Yellow just makes me SO happy!  I paired my bloomin’ shorts with a classic black bodysuit from Topshop ($28!) and lace-up heel from Vince Camuto.  Next up I stacked on my favorite jewels (links above) and finished off the look with a yellow clutch.
