Hey y’all!
November is here and entertaining season is in full swing. This year I went with a romantic woodland table—soft neutrals with plenty of natural texture, warm browns, and candlelight. It feels right for our mountain home and the way we like to gather: beautiful, a little magical, and still completely doable with little boys around the table.
If you’ve seen past tables, you know I love wood, warm tones, and pieces I can mix and reuse. This one leans into the woodland feeling with antlers, leaf garland, and pumpkins, while the romantic part comes from the soft layers and candle glow.
The Centerpiece
I started with a brown knit runner as the foundation layer down the middle of the table. Then I laid a brown and yellow leaf garland from Target on top of it. It’s such an affordable find and immediately sets that woodland tone. From there I layered in rustic antlers, knit pumpkins, and mini white pumpkins. The mix of textures—knit runner, smooth ceramic, knitted fabric, and rough antlers—keeps it interesting without feeling busy.
Candles are always the finishing touch for me. They bring in that soft romantic vibe once the light starts fading in the mountains. A few tapers and pillars scattered through the centerpiece make the whole table feel warm and inviting.

Place Settings
Wood slices under each setting give that natural woodland base I love. On top I stacked a brown floral/leaf dinner plate with a brown ceramic appetizer plate. The layered browns feel rich but still neutral and easy.
I used gingham brown napkins and olive wood flatware for warmth and texture. A little white pumpkin sits on each plate as a sweet, simple accent. For glassware I went with vintage-style wine glasses—an affordable find from Zara Home—and brown leaf water glasses from Magnolia. They add just the right amount of character without being fussy.
And of course, the place cards. I always do a simple one. These are calligraphy on kraft paper from Etsy. They make guests feel special and fit the woodland theme perfectly.

Easy Tips for the Look
- Start with the centerpiece so everything else has a place to land.
- Keep the palette quiet: warm neutrals, browns, soft yellows, and creamy whites.
- Mix textures (wood, ceramic, knit, glass) more than color.
- Candles are the easiest way to add that romantic feeling.
Most of these pieces are affordable and reusable finds from Target, Zara Home, Magnolia, and Etsy. Scroll down to shop the table and see more detail photos.
I’m so thankful for y’all and the way you gather around your own tables. Wishing you a beautiful, cozy Thanksgiving.
Happy hosting,
xo, Kasey
