When I think about night-out ideas for Summer, I usually tend to wear a dress or skirt but once I found these printed shorts, I knew exactly how I wanted to style them out! I paired the Forever 21 shorts ($17.90) with a plain white tee, tucked in as to see the print on the high-waisted shorts, crisp white blazer and pops of BLUSH. Yes, I’m a bit obsessed with blush so instead of styling the shorts out with all white pieces, I decided to mix and match. I can not say enough about how much I LOVE my blush heels. They are so comfortable and I wear them with everything. STYLING TIP: if you are wearing shorts and want to elongate your legs, wear a nude-tone heel with no ankle strap! Straps around the ankle tend to cut off your legs and who wants that!?
As far as accessories, I wore my favorite bracelets from Wanderlust & Co. ($39!) and Miansai. I’m obsessed with both of these companies and I just discovered them in the past year. Wanderlust & Co. is very affordable, with price-points starting at $15, YAY! Check out their on-trend baubles here! Miansai is a Miami-based company that started with men’s accessories and eventually launched a women’s line. Yay for us! What’s super cool about Miansai is everything is crafted right here in the USA. Check out how they do it here!
If you are wondering where I shot this look, I was in beautiful Del Mar, CA. If you have not been, you need to go! It is a small beach community just north of San Diego. The coastline is beyond gorgeous and has a quaint little town full of restaurants and shops. I’m pretty lucky as my mama lives there so I get to visit often! Oh and did I mention they have an epic horse track? It’s where the surf meets the turf… at least that’s what they say 🙂 If you ever get the chance to experience the Del Mar race track, you should just for it’s beauty alone!
