Farmhouse Pantry

Howdy, boos!  I’ve been looking forward to sharing my NEW pantry.  Y’all know my Type A loves to be organized – bathroom, closet, mudroom and of course, my food and kitchen items deserves to be too!  In this post I’m not only going to share my farmhouse pantry design and finishes but the products I also use to store food.

My inspo behind the pantry was a European cafe mixed with rustic touches.  This look was accomplished by mixing a subway tile backsplash from the floor-to-ceiling, gold brushed pulls and shallow shelves paired with barn doors, rustic signs and farmhouse containers.

Other than the “look” of the pantry, it was V important that it was also functional.  I believe in good design first and foremost in any room.  This mean the perfect balance of physical appearance combined with a functional space.  How many pantries have y’all walked into with deep shelves, and waisted space??  This was NOT happenin’ in my new casa.  I wanted the shelves to be shallow in order to see everything I have, thus using what’s in my pantry.  Nothing is going to waste!  Not only is the food in full view, but so are my entertaining dishes, cake stands, flower vases and other kitchen items! 🙂

Ummm… and can we just take a moment of silence for the barn doors …1…2…3! LOL  In my opinion they were the perfect finishing touch.  The farmhouse pantry came together when they hung these babies.  I decided to incorporate the same black and ‘x’ detail I used on the island, to bring the two spaces together.  Both items balance out the kitchen wonderfully! In addition to the barn doors, to achieve a rustic farmhouse look, we also integrated exposed ceiling beams.  They run through the entire kitchen into the back kitchen where the pantry is located.  Again, another great rustic touch.  Let’s just say all of my dreams of having a modern farmhouse kitchen came together!

Now let’s talk about what goes inside of this beauty – decor, containers, entertaining dishes, kitchen electronics and more!  I style out each and every room in my house, so why wouldn’t I want my pantry to look cute too? 😉  I have found THE cutest lil’ signs.  These two are my favorite new finds: Fresh Baked Pies ($14!) and Pantry Open 24/7 ($19)!  They give the space a touch more character and charm.  As far as food storage, GLASS containers are where it’s at, boos!  Once again, this allows me to see the food I have, keep it fresh and use it on a regular basis.  Click here for my fave style.

Over on IGTV, I’ll be posting a FARMHOUSE PANTRY TOUR video, which is a great way to see the space in more detail!  Make sure to tune in for a closer look and scroll down for more images!

All the details on the pantry finishes, items I use to organize and my kitchen goodies are below.  Ok, now who’s hungry??  Gotta go grab a snack in my gorg pantry… kay byeeeee!

  1. Hi, my name is Aline and I’m in love with your pantry. Seems to be perfect for my house. Is there any possibilities you send me the measures? I love your content! 🙂

  2. I’d love to know where you got your barn doors from? Very cute pantry! I’m actually trying to find some for my pantry.

  3. Hi! Really love your pantry, actually a dream pantry. I hope you don’t mind, but may I please ask for the measurements of the whole space? Thank you so much. – Lanie

  4. Can you please tell me the dimensions of your lower and up pantry shelves? I love this and am currently remodeling and am using your pantry as my model. Thank you!

  5. Hi, love the doors for this pantry! Do these barn style doors slide on tracks on the top only? Is anything holding them in place on the bottom? I’d like to have similar doors for my pantry but I worry that the black doors will scratch the white wall and trim behind them. Do you have issues with this? Can you share with me th link where I can buy these doors? Thank you! 🙂

    • Hi Olia! They. are classic barn darns, hanging at the top on a track. We have no issues with them slides/scratching on the wall as they sit out a bit (maybe one inch). We had these doors made locally.

  6. Hello, I found your blog and pantry from PInterest. Can you tell me what the dimensions are, I’m thinking of doing this in my kitchen? Thank you.

  7. Hello! I’m so in love with your design!
I was wondering where you got the materials like the shelving, countertop and drawers?

What is the overall dimensions of your pantry? Thanks!!

    • Hi Heather! Thank you! The cabinetry was all custom made by a local wood worker. The countertops are quartzite ‘mont blanc’.

  8. Hi Kasey! Your pantry is EVERYTHING!! Do you mind sharing the overall dimensions for the whole space, including your counter space, open walking space, and closed pantry space? I’m building a home and trying to determine if this similar area I have drafted on our plans is long enough and deep enough.

    Thank you!
    Rachel
