Chocolate Protein Peppermint Balls

11 02

Hey guys! Posting my first holiday recipe of the season and it’s delish!

These chocolate protein peppermint balls are a great healthy sweet treat. They taste like dessert but are actually good for you! I used simple, clean ingredients including the best grass fed bone broth protein powder from Paleo Valley.

My boys are big fans of these! I love to have one for a mid-day snack or an after dinner treat. They are the perfect size!

See below for the list of ingredients and steps to make. Enjoy!

Ingredients

2 scoops chocolate protein powder (1/2 cup)

1 cup almond butter – or sub cashew butter

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

crushed peppermint

Steps

{makes 12}

1. Combine almond butter and honey in a medium bowl. Mix well.

2. Add in protein powder, cocoa powder and sea salt. The mixture will look like cookie batter.

3. Fold in chocolate chips.

4. Take an ice scream scoop to create the start of the ball. Then use your hands to finish off the ball and make it more compact. Repeat until you’ve made all 12.

5. Place crushed peppermint into a small bowl. Roll each chocolate protein ball in the peppermint on all sides.

6. Put the balls into the fridge to set for at least an hour.

*Make sure to store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
