Hey hey! Get ready for your home to smell delicious. This is my favorite simmer pot I’ve made to date. It smells like pumpkin spice perfection!! I had a friend come over while I was shooting this recipe and she immediately said, “it smells so good in here!” I knew I was onto something hehe 😉
I love to create simmer pots during fall and winter to give the house a festive scent. AND it’s non-toxic!
Get yourself a cute glass pot (link to mine here) and make simmer pots this fall! My favorite time to do it is on a Sunday when we are having a cozy family day at home.
Enjoy and happy Autumn!
5 cups of water
5 slices of apple
4 slices of dried orange (you can use fresh if you don’t have dried)
2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice
5 star anise
3 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoons whole cloves
1. Fill a pot with 5 cups of water – about 1/2 of the way up. Here’s the link to my glass pot I love!
2. Place all ingredients into the water: apples slices, dried orange slices, pumpkin pie spice, star of anise, cinnamon sticks and cloves.
3. Bring to a boil and let it sit for 2 minutes.
3. Turn heat to down to a slight simmer. Let the pot sit for a few hours. Your home will have THE best fall scent! And it’s non-toxic. YAY!
