How-to Style a Thanksgiving Table \ Neutral & Black

02 11

Can you guys believe it’s November!? Thanksgiving is just a little over 3 weeks away and that means it’s time to get our table decor in order. This year I went with a neutral and black themed table. I know, shocking! 😉 I’m mixing oldies like my “thankful” napkins with new gems: leaf name cards, cream dinnerware, “gather” plate decor and more!

When styling a table I alway start with the centerpiece. I first placed a personalized burlap runner down. LOVE the customized touch! I then layered on a 6′ white berry garland, gold leaves, knit & real pumpkins, black candle sticks and two vases (jug size) with bleached dried grasses. Note: this year’s table is set for 6 people. I placed the larger jug vases on the ends so you can see through the centerpiece. This way it is easy to talk to everyone at the table.

For the place setting I first used a wood chargers. I’ve had these for years and are worth every penny! Then I used my new plates a la Walmart. This set of 12 is only $39!! Two napkins were used on every setting and yes, there’s a reason. I want to keep my “thankful” napkins looking nice so I think of them as “decor”. The farmhouse napkin on top of the plate can be used! I always love an added element of texture and these napkins are perf! The gold flatware (Target find!) and glasses give a pop of metallic, which compliments the neutral color palette. Finally I placed personalized leafs on the table along with “grateful/thankful” plate decor. I always love to go the extra mile to make a table feel special. You can do this with fun name cards!
