I can’t believe Halloween has come and gone. My favorite month of the year may be over BUT not to worry boos, there is SO much to look forward to this holiday season. Y’all know I love to entertain and this is THE season of parties! Coming up with festive ideas for food and cocktails is always so much fun. During the holidays, it’s ALL about eating, drinking and enjoying time with friends and family. If you’ve followed me for a while you know I’m all about a bar… bubbly, rosé, acai bowl, hot cocoa and now a CARAMEL APPLE BAR!! I had THE most fun putting this together and now you can too! This is the perfect addition to your holiday party and everyone can join in the fun – friends, family and kids!
1. Apples – I used granny smith (my fave tart babies) and fuji
2. Apple Sticks – I purchased the smaller sticks on Amazon for apple slices
3. Caramel – classic and chocolate
4. Favorite Toppings – sprinkles, crushed nuts, coconut shreds, marshmallows, oreos, chocolate chips
First, it’s time to setup the bar. Place all apples in a galvanized tub and/or basket – I used about a dozen. Next up I set out the glass bowls and poured my favorite toppings inside. Use whatever delish treats you fancy but make sure they are smaller pieces or you can always crush them up. It’s important so the goodies stick to the caramel 🙂 Once the bar is setup, cut two to three apples into slices. Place each slice on skewer and put in a glass. Next up, pour the caramel and chocolate caramel into bowls – heat for about 30 seconds to warm up. Note – make sure to heat the caramel last as it will start to harden and dipping the apples will become more difficult as time goes by. Ok, It’s time to dip! Take a slice; dip it into your caramel of your liking and then your topping of choice. Place it on a platter/plate to set. If you want it to harden quicker, place it in the fridge. Enjoy!
