Neutral Bedroom Details

Hi guys!  I told y’all over on Instagram stories I’d be sharing my master bedroom on the blog, and today’s the day!  I’m so excited to show y’all a look into my cozy oasis and detail my furniture selections, decor and finishes.  Let’s get to it!

When I started to design this space in the new house, I knew I wanted to incorporate rustic touches mixed with modern elements.  The wood ceiling beams, barn door, hide accent chair and farmhouse bedding paired with a modern fireplace, frameless mirrors, gold lamps and 80″ tufted bed were all the perfect combination to achieve the modern farmhouse style.

As the home started to come together and I began to see the finishes IRL, I began to select furniture and decor.  I used my A-mazing bed that I previously had in LA.  This linen tufted beauty is from non other than, Restoration Hardware, and worth every penny!  I decided to purchase new bedding for my room and the hunt was on!  I selected items from all over, mixing and matching patterns, while staying in a neutral palette.  The mini herringbone and buffalo plaid combo turned out great!  I make all of my beds using the following: fitted sheet, flat sheet, coverlet (quilt), duvet, throw, sleeping pillows (2-4), 3 euro shams and accent pillows – all linked below.  The cozier, the better!  If you missed my post on how to style a bed, check it out here!

One pillow GEM I have to share with y’all is my new Discover Night SILK pillow – case and insert.  If you haven’t invested in one, it’s time!  I mean, think about how much time you spend in your bed!  Not only is it great for your skin and hair but it also acts as a sleeping mask with its black silk fabric.  I have been using it for a month and LOVE it!

Once I selected my bedding, I moved onto furniture items.   In sticking with the neutral theme, I chose a beautiful muted rug, grayish night stands, a wood bench and THE most gorg hide accent reading chair.   I then finished off the sides of my bed with gold lamps and modern frameless mirrors.

Style Tip – mirrors are a great way to make a room feel bigger! 😉

  Some pieces in my master bedroom are a little pricey, while others are great finds!  One of my most favorite DEALS in this space is the area rug I mentioned above.  Usually rugs are V expensive, but for the quality and style of this beauty, it is a steal!  I’ve also seen it styled in living areas and it looks amazing.  Good news y’all, it comes in 5 muted color ways – check it out here.

Now that the bulk of the furniture was selected, it was time to decorate!  I used fun farmhouse knick knacks like cotton stems,  a buffalo plaid tin, antlers, a wooden blanket ladder and baskets.  I think all of these items give the space a bit more character – love it!  To complete my master, I styled out the room with numerous blankets (duh 😉 ) and pillows galore!  Everything is linked below under DECOR – shop away!

Overall my master bedroom turned out far beyond my wildest dreams.  From the beautiful rustic finishes to the monochromatic cozy style, I’m one HAPPY lady! 🙂
