Chocolate Apple “Donuts”

10 09

Hi hi! Are y’all ready for a YUMMY healthy-ish fall sweet!?? You know I am!

These are so fun to make, especially with kiddos or for a girls night! Simply dip your apple “donuts” into your melted chocolate, drizzle with caramel and add your favorite toppings! Pop them in the freezer to set and they’re ready to enjoy in 30 minutes. So easy!

See below for the list of ingredient and steps to make.

Ingredients

{makes 12}

3 green granny smith apples sliced

1 cup dark chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil

Caramel sauce – I have a homemade recipe here

Preferred toppings: sprinkles, nuts, mini chocolate chips

Steps

1. Cut apples into slices: 3-4 each apple

2. Use a small tool to cut out the center of each slice. I used a small frosting tip. It was the perfect size!

3. In a medium bowl, melt the chocolate chips and coconut – either the stove or microwave. Don’t burn it.

4. Dip one slice at a time into the melted chocolate. Flip so the entire apple is covered. Set the slice on a plate with parchment paper.

5. Drizzle with caramel and sprinkle on your favorite toppings.

6. Place in the freezer to set for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
