Hi guys!
These no-bake energy balls are a staple in our home—quick to make, perfectly portable, and loved by both kids and adults. They deliver a rich chocolate-peanut butter flavor while packing in clean protein, healthy fats, and fiber to keep you energized without the crash.
Made with simple, low-toxic ingredients (gluten-free oats, no palm oil peanut butter, and pure maple syrup), they’re the kind of wholesome treat that supports your wellness rituals and busy family days.
(makes about 20-24 balls)
1 ½ cups gluten-free oatmeal, One Degree
1 cup peanut butter (no palm oil), Once Again
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
¼ cup chocolate protein powder (clean, low-toxic brand of choice), Paleo Valley
¼ cup ground flaxseed
2 tablespoons chia seeds
2 tablespoons hemp seeds
2 tablespoons cacao powder
Pinch of sea salt
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free oatmeal, chocolate protein powder, ground flaxseed, chia seeds, hemp seeds, cacao powder, and sea salt.
2. Add the peanut butter and maple syrup. Stir until everything is well combined and a thick dough forms. (If the mixture feels too dry, add a tiny splash of maple syrup or a teaspoon of coconut oil.)
3. Roll into 1-inch balls using your hands (or a small cookie scoop for uniformity).
4. Place on a parchment-lined plate or tray and refrigerate for at least 20-30 minutes to firm up.
5. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.
Pro tip: Roll them in extra cacao powder, hemp seeds, or shredded coconut for a pretty finish and added texture.
These energy balls are more than just a sweet bite—they’re a nutrient-dense mini-meal:
Sustained Energy: Oats and seeds provide complex carbs and fiber for steady blood sugar support.
Healthy Fats & Omega-3s: Chia, flax, and hemp seeds deliver plant-based omegas that support heart health, brain function, and inflammation balance.
Protein Boost: The chocolate protein powder + peanut butter + seeds create a complete, satisfying protein source that helps with muscle repair and satiety.
Antioxidant-Rich: Raw cacao powder is packed with magnesium and flavonoids that support mood and overall wellness.
Low-Toxic Swap: Using clean peanut butter (no palm oil) and pure maple syrup keeps things free from unnecessary additives while tasting indulgent.
Perfect for busy mornings, afternoon slumps, post-workout fuel, or a healthier dessert option the whole family can enjoy.
These are the kind of simple, intentional recipes that make low-toxic living feel joyful and doable—one ball at a time.
Happy rolling! ✨
