Today I’m rounding up some of my new makeup, skincare and hair finds! Before sharing with y’all, I take my time testing out products – like, several months. I only recommend items that I’m truly obsessed with and have seen work on me. With that said, everyone’s skin is very different, so please keep that in mind. Below is a clickable collage, descriptions about each product and why I’m a fan!
Skin Tint – If you’re looking for light, dewy coverage paired with a mineral SPF, look no further! It’s from ILIA which is one of my current favorite makeup brands. AND it’s clean! My color: “Oura”
Liquid Blush – Saige has created the most beautiful liquid blushes. I was always a bit apprehensive to move from powder to liquid, but I’m so glad I did. I love the pop of color and dewy finish on my cheeks, using the above sponge to apply. My Color: “Peachy”
Foundation – I heard about the Nars Light Reflecting Foundation immediately after it hit the market. I started seeing beauty bloggers on TikTok post about it, so I gave it a try. I mean, why not?? I’m ALWAYS testing out new products. It did NOT disappoint. It made my skin look like I was wearing a glowy filter. Y’all know I love a dewy finish and this is now one of my top 3 foundations EVER! What’s amazing about this foundation is, it’s a makeup-skincare hybrid with 70% coming from skincare ingredients. I love that it evens out my skin tone, covering dark spots. It feels light on the skin and gives a natural look. My color: “Fiji”
Dark Spot Treatment – Do you want deep exfoliation, brightening and a treatment for your dark spots?? This is it! Results with this product happen immediately – yes, sounds crazy, but it’s SO brightening! I’ve tried many different products and have found my skin looks the best with Good Genes. I use this as my nighttime exfoliator twice a week. I am currently Skin Cycling which I learned from dermatologist Dr. Whitney Bowe. Here is the podcast where I found her. It essentially means throughout the week there is a deliberate rotation of exfoliation, retinol, and hydration. I came to understand I was over exfoliating my skin, breaking down the barrier, and not allowing it to have “rest” days. Although an exfoliator may say you can use it every day, you may not want to. I’ll talk more about this on my updated skincare routine coming next month!
Moisturizer – This is my go-to hydrating cream that can be used morning and night. It does not make me breakout and is wonderful under makeup. Always have this in my vanity!
Eye Patches – WOW do I use these a lot! LOL They’ve become part of my morning routine and Ford (my son) is very used to me wearing them 🙂 I sometimes even wear them on our morning walks… don’t judge me! hehe I’m always looking to de-puff and hydrate when I wake up in the morning and THESE babies work! I pop them on when I’m making my coffee.
Night Eye Cream – I was looking for a product that could be applied to the under eye AND lid areas. There are not many as the eyes are very sensitive. I’m a big fan of Dr. Dennis Gross and his product line. He created an eye cream safe and effective for the entire eye. I’ve been using it for about 6 months and LOVE! It’s great for dark circles and firming up the area. YES please!
Combs – How cute are these?! I found them on Amazon and use them on my damp hair or to brush through a leave in conditioner.
Shampoo & Conditioner – Since becoming more aware of ingredient and what actually in products, I’ve tried 3 different “clean” brands. Dae is my favorite yet! It’s hydrating, gives my hair an extra shine, smells delicious AND is reasonably priced!
Brush – Ummmmm gorgeous brush – yes, please! Love the design of this beauty and it detangles and brushes out the hair with no breakage. It’s Italian made and literally perfection. Why not have a beautiful brush on your vanity?
