Hi babes! Today I’m sharing my third beauty/skin post using pregnancy safe products. I want to reiterate, I am not a skincare or pregnancy expert. I’m a gal who is obsessed with skin, and since becoming pregnant, I have researched my lil’ butt off! It’s important to me to make sure what I’m putting on my bod is safe for my baby!
A few of the products I ‘m sharing today, I used prior to finding out I was expecting as they are “safe”. The others are new gems I’ve come across within the last 5 months. Remember ladies, you don’t have to be pregnant to want to use more “clean” skin and beauty products! A lot of my research has convinced me to switch up my routine regardless of having a child. Simply said, it’s just better for you!
Below I break down my 7 step nighttime routine. Continue to scroll to watch me VIDEO tutorial. Please leave a comment with any questions you have.
If you missed my morning skincare routine that is pregnancy safe, check it out here!
[1] Pacifica Foam Face Wash – I started using this face wash about a month ago. The smell alone is divine! Anything coconut, sign me up! I really like the foaming aspect of this product as it removes the majority of my makeup. The Pacifica wash is also a winner because of its price point of $10!!
[2] Bioderma Hydrabio H2O – This magical H2O is a ride or die skin product of mine. I started using it about 3 years ago, and it changed my face texture. I used to suffer from little bumps on my chin/cheek area due to not getting my face fully cleaned. I had an esthetician recommend this product and it was a GAME CHANGER. I use the Bioderma water each night after I wash my face to ensure I get all excess makeup off. I apply the H20 on a cotton pad, sometimes two depending on how dirty my skin still is, and rub my face. It’s the one product that has helped the most with my acne! I highly recommend it.
[3] Vitablast C Serum Pad – Vitamin C is one of the best products for skin types similar to mine that have issues with hyperpigmentation. I’m happy to say I can continue to use it while pregnant! These C serum pads are great to use after cleansing your face. I don’t use them every night but rather 3-4 times a week. They help to brighten the skin and diminish dark spots. YAS please!
[4] PCA Skin Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Serum – Acid seems like a scary word while expecting a little one, amiright?!! BUT don’t worry babes, hyaluronic acid is perfectly safe to use. This serum is packed with hydration! I love the PCA serum SO much that I use it morning and night. I put about a pea size in my hand and pat it gently into my skin until it drys. I’m now ready for my moisturizer/oil.
[5] KORA Organics Face Oil – Y’all have probably heard me say in the past, that I have to steer clear of oils. I tend to break out if I use them as my skin type is already fairly oily. Well… good news, the KORA Organics option is working for me! NO bumps. I love the natural smell and texture of this product. I again put about a pea size in the palm of my hand and pat on my face. If you can’t do oils I recommend using the face cream from GLO Skin that I use in my morning routine.
[6] Algenist Overnight Restorative Face Cream – If you want to go the extra hydration mile, use a night cream/mask. It is the perfect time to use a product like this while you sleep. I’m all about hydration up here in the dry dessert mountains of Idaho, so you can better believe I lather this on. Apply a generous layer over your oil and/or face moisturizer and watch it work it’s magic. You will wake up with soft baby-like skin!
[7] Laneige Lip Mask – Thankfully I can still use this A-mazing lip mask during pregnancy. I have shared the Laneige product with so many of you gals, and I know ya’ll love it just as much as me. π I mentioned above it’s very dry in Idaho, and being that it’s summer, the importance of hydration is next level! Don’t forget about your lippies, babes! Give them a little mask at night and you’ll wake up free from dry and cracked lips. Trust me, you need this in your life!
