Hey there, boos! I don’t know about you, but I’m very excited for Christmas this year! It will be the first one with our baby boy! SO crazy! Today I wanted to share all of the details of my neutral farmhouse holiday decor as soon as possible! I know many of you start to decorate and order items in November. 😉 On this post I’ll be highlighting my mantle and tree area.
I first started by putting together a cozy christmas corner including my 7.5′ flocked faux tree. I’ve had this beauty for 4 years and have rounded up my favorite faux options below. Luke and I typically do both – one real and one fake each year. Since we are about to have a little one, I’m not sure we will get to chop down a tree this year. Although it’s a bummer as I LOVE the smell and process of finding one, we will do it next year!! 😉
I wanted to keep my tree decor very simple. I started by layering two tree skirts on top of one another – burlap and knit. Last year I bought my galvanized tree collar and utilized it again this year. A great amazon find at $61! I then wrapped the tree with a burlap garland, starting at the bottom. Next up I added in farmhouse ornaments: white furry pom poms (obsessed!), glitter pine cones and all the mercury glass balls. I finished off the tree with a pretty sparkly star! Voila! It was so easy to put together and looks great with my modern farmhouse theme.
Surrounding the christmas tree I wanted to create a cozy space. I mean duh, have you met me?! LOL I pulled over one of my favorite bean bag chairs and styled out the corner with a new knit throw and all of my fave festive pillows. Lastly I took my cute new “reindeer feed” bucket and placed birch logs inside for all the holiday feels. Since creating this moment in my home, all I want to do is snuggle up here. SO basically if you need me, this is where I’ll be! 🙂
Alright, let’s talk about my mantel area. Again, it’s neutral, simple and in-line with my overall home theme – farmhouse. I always think it’s important to incorporate holiday decor that matches your home – ya feel me?
I started with decorating my reclaimed wood mantel with my wooden “Merry Christmas” sign. It fit perfectly underneath the antler. I then wanted to decorate each side symmetrically and did so with medium and large faux trees with burlap bottoms, house figurines and larger wood trees. Keeping it simple and not over cluttering this space is important. To add a bit more of a festive touch I added a fun pom pom strand to the antlers! Lastly I hung different sized stockings, buffalo plaid and knit beauties, for the perfect farmhouse touch.
Since I have a large hearth, I also wanted to decorate it. I used this space to display my cute new set of galvanized bins, a cookie moment, more fun Christmas signs and a few more holiday decor goodies.
I’ve linked everything below so it’s easy for y’all to shop! If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment. Happy decorating!
