Paint Color Details

Hey guys! Today I’m happy to share the paint colors I used in my Idaho modern farmhouse. It is probably one of the top 10 questions I get asked, so I thought I’d put all the deets in ONE place! 😉

If you’ve been following along with me, you’re well aware my home is fairly neutral, with a lot of whites and pops of black. Finding the right white paint can be super overwhelming and challenging. I mean, how many shades of white are there?! A LOT!! I finally found one I LOVE. Benjamin Moore “simply white” is my foundation color, with Sherwin Williams “tricorn black” being my accent color throughout. I then selected three other spaces in my home to add color.

See below for a list of my 5 paint colors and details about where and the sheen I used in my home. Keep scrolling to see examples images of each color in different rooms in my modern farmhouse. Please leave a comment if you have any questions.

  1. Any chance you know what grout color you used for your kitchen tile? I’m doing a basic white subway tile and like the slight contrast yours offers!

  2. LOVE YOUR SITE! What a gift you have with creating beauty and wonder. I’d love to know what gray nightstands you’re using in your master bedroom? They look like just what I’ve been looking for. Been using plastic tote bins the past year until I’ve found something! Haha. 😀

  3. Thank you! I was searching and searching for a good white (soooo many choices!). I found your blog, which led me to BM Simply White and I am seriously happy with it! And now I’ve started buying other stuff via your Like It To Know It links.

  4. Hi there!
I love your front porch wall lights but am having trouble finding them from your posts. Can you send me a link or atleast the name of the company and type?

    Thanks so much!

    • Hi Luna! The outside is cedar wood. Our painted used a custom stain. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Thanks! Kasey
