Nashville Details

Howdy, y’all! I just left Nashville after visiting for two weeks and let me tell you, I understand why it’s the bachelorette capital of the country!! There are endless bars, country music playing on every corner and southern cooking that will fill you up for days!

You may be asking yourself, “Kasey, why were you in Nashville for 2 week?” Well, I am currently in the midst of launching my other business, Boozie, in the music city. Boozie is a line of clean cocktails in a can and let’s be real, perfect for Nashville! Check out more about my company and where to buy it around the U.S. here!

I spent the past 14 days exploring not just downtown and the Honky Tonks, but all of the neighborhoods this amazing mid-size city has to offer. Many of you requested a travel guide because you are planning on visiting this summer or it’s hight on your bucket list. Today I’m going to share my top 5 neighborhoods, favorite eating spots, places to go out and things to do around the city. I will also include a list of FOOD/BAR recommendations I received from y’all at the end of the post. I can’t speak directly to them as I didn’t have time to go everywhere, but I still want to share the list with you babes!

Since we had a longer than usual stay, we opted to rent a condo. Our place had a roof top deck and the views of downtown were amazing! If you’re looking at coming to Nashville with a big group, I’d recommend looking on Airbnb and Homeaway for rentals – the options are endless! You could also opt to stay at one of the newly built hotels. I’ve heard great things about the Thompson Hotel, located in The Gultch, and the Dream Hotel, located downtown, closer to the Honky Tonks.

Please leave a comment below with any questions you may have! Enjoy Nashville!

Top 5 Neighborhoods

[1] 12 South – I’m in love with this area of Nashville. It’s about 10 minutes outside of downtown, easy to get to and is a quaint street lined with charming stores, restaurants and breweries. Off the main drag, sits the cutest bungalow-style homes. My favorite boutique, White’s Mercantile, and coffee shop, Frothy Monkey, are both located on 12 south. If you’re on the hunt for the “I believe in Nashville” wall mural, there is one located here. It’s just outside of Reese Witherspoon’s store, Draper James.

[2] The Gultch – We stayed right outside of this hood. I walked all around The Gultch on the daily and found a great workout studio, Barre3, as well as THE best natural food grocery store, Turnip Trunk. One of my favorite lunch spots, Milk and Honey, also resides here. If you’re on the hunt for WING street art, this is the place! While I was there, Taylor Swift made the pink wing wall even more famous as she announced her new album here. A white and black wing installation also lives in this hood. Take a stroll around and you will see them all!

[3] Downtown – If you’re looking to go out and partayyyyy, this is your spot! All of the Honky Tonks, meaning country music bars, are located on Broadway. Once you get to this street, turn in any direction and a country bar will be in sight with music blaring. I went to an old school spot, Tootsies, and listened to the best LIVE country tunes all night long!

[4] East Nashville – I’ve come to find that the hipster foodie establishments and bars are located on the east side. In general, the area is a little spotty, but it’s definitely up and coming! My favorite bar in Nashville is located here. Urban Cowboy Public House is legit, the coolest spot. It has a rustic vibe with a music twist, making the yummiest craft cocktails! Y’all NEED to go here!

[5] Green Hills – This area is more of a suburb part of Nashville but oddly enough, The Blue Bird, is located here. If you’re in the mood to hear some amazing music in a very quaint venue, go to The Blue Bird. It’s a Nashville staple! I went 5 years ago for the first time and waited for about 2 hours. Be prepared to stand in line but trust me, it’s worth it! Also located here is the new restoration hardware with a restaurant inside. If you haven’t experienced one before, go! After being in Nashville for about a week or so, I was craving some HEALTHY food. I found out they had a True Foods in Green Hills and booked over there immediately. It was legit, the best salad ever! lol
