Last month I went to NYC for a trip of a lifetime – New York City over Christmas!!! #bucketlist

I had THE most magical time!  Are you familiar with the book, ‘Eat, Pray, Love’… well I did my version of that in New York!! ‘Walk, Eat, Shop’… check, check and CHECK!  Above are a few of my fave pics I took exploring this citayyyyyy and my top recommendations on where stay, eat, shop and explore.  New York has SO many different neighborhoods, with each having their own unique identity.  I would recommend spending time in each.  Don’t have any set plans, maybe just a few spots you’d like to see, take it all in and explore!   That’s my fave way to travel.  We decided to stay in mid-city at the gorg St. Regis, which was crazyyyy over X-mas, but worth the crowds to see the tree, holiday windows and festive decorations.  If you’re looking for an epic drink in the city, hit up the King Cole Bar which resides in the St. Regis Hotel.  It’s a classic New York spot!

My most favorite thing to do is walk – yes, you read that right, not shop… but just walk the beautiful streets.  The old buildings and brownstones are incredible – I love the architecture of New York!  I mean have you been to Grand Central??  It’s incredible – I just stood in the middle and took it all in, looking up at the beautiful ceiling, obsessing over the huge holiday decorations and watching people as they scurried by.  Sometimes if you don’t stop, take a moment and look around, life passes by way too fast!  The other place I NEEDED to go was Greenwich Village.  I was not going to be in NYC and not have a Carrie Bradshaw moment, amiright?!  Sitting on the stoops of every cute brownstone I came across and having my hubs take pictures most definitely happened! 😉   Oh and eating at every cute sidewalk cafe along the way is a must!  Eat, walk, shop, repeat…  That’s my motto!
