Can you you believe the 4th has come and gone already?!!  Summer is in full swing so it’s time to show some leg… and a lil’ shoulder 😉

Let’s keep it classic with 501 Levi’s boyfriend SHORTS.  I purchased these beauties at Nordstrom for only $68 buckaroos!  If you are going to buy a pair of new shorts this season, denim babies are a MUST.  I styled the look with my new embroidered OTS (off-the-shoulder) top from Lulu’s.  This style has become a huge trend this summer.  See below for my fave OTS numbers – give one a try, you will NOT be disappointed!

Next up I added my nude booties, which you can NEVER go wrong with.  As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, neutral shoes are THE best color, going with everything in your wardrobe.  Oh and the best part is, they are on SALE! Woooohoooo!  Since I was in the mountains, I wanted a lil’ country-boho vibe and adding my booties was the perfect touch!

Lastly, I finished the the look with my go-to straw hat from Forever 21 ($14.90!) and choker from Asos ($8.50!).  Can you say deal or what?!? Another trend you may have noticed is choker necklaces.  The 90’s are calling… and I LIKE it 😉  I honestly thought I was not going to be a fan, BUT when I received mine and put that baby on, I was obsessed!  My fashion philosophy is that every person is different and has their own sense of style and with that said, I believe not every trend is for everyone… i.e. you will NEVER find me in Birkenstocks – just not my thing 😉  On the flip side, I think it’s good for individuals to get out of their style box and try new trends.  So for me, I gave the chocker necklace a go and VIOLA, I was hooked!  Sometimes it all works out! Give it a try, you just might like it 🙂
