September is here and that means more Fall recipes are coming your way. Today I wanted to share a very easy and healthy snack. My kids LOVE these baked apple chips and they are a great thing to put in school lunches.
The only special tool this recipe requires is a mandoline. If you don’t have one, it’s time! You can use it for SO many things. I found my stainless steel option on Amazon – link here.
I also love to make these during the autumn months because my house smells of apples and cinnamon as they bake. SO yummy!
See below for a list of ingredients and steps to make – enjoy!
2 organic apples – I use Fuji or Honey Crisps (sweeter)
cinnamon
1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees
2. Cut the bottoms off of the apples and slice using a mandoline.
3. Take a large baking sheet and put unbleached parchment paper on top.
4. Place apple slices in 3 rows on top of the parchment paper.
5. Sprinkle apples with desired amount of cinnamon.
6. Put apples into the oven to bake for 2 hours.
7. Take apples out of the oven and let them cool and crisp up for 30 minutes.
8. Enjoy!
