Rentals (tables, chairs, flatware, glasses and chandelier) – Town & Country
My bestie boo, Chelsea, was pregnant with her first little nugget this past year and I was beyond excited for her! My first thought was, BABY SHOWER! I was so excited to celebrate her baby girl. First order of business, I needed a theme and location. I decided to throw the shower in her backyard so Garden Chic was perfect! I planned my wedding a little over a year ago so I had become a tit bit obsessed with Etsy and blogs like Style Me Pretty. Off to Pinterest I went to get all of the inspo I needed!
First off, I consulted with Chelsea about the color scheme. Most of the baby showers I have seen and/or attended were usually pink or blue based on the sex. Chels wanted a more neutral shower so we did gray, white and a touch of blush. My fave! I rented French/vineyard furniture, mixed flatware and fun glasses to tie in with the theme. Oh and did I mention we hung a chandelier in one of the trees?! I mean…. SO chic!
Next up, FOOD! Who doesn’t like brunch and a bubbly bar? Done and done. My dear friend Gaby from What’s Gaby Cooking catered the event with all of her yummy brunch goodies: french toast bar, granola parfaits, croissants, mini quiches, avocado toast and fresh fruit! Yum in my tum! If you haven’t heard of Gaby you’ve probably seen many of her gorg food images on Pinterest! She is a food blogger, chef, and cookbook author extraordinaire! You NEED a little bit of G in your life. Check her out here.
Now my fave part, the BLOOMS! I went down to the local flower market in downtown Los Angeles. I mean this place is giant so I had numerous blooms to pick from. I was in flower heaven! I kept in line with the color scheme and chose white hydrangeas and sprinkled in a few blush roses. SO elegant and girly! I think if I could do floral arrangement every day of my life, I would 🙂 Whether it’s a baby shower, dinner party or just home décor, flowers just make everything pretty!
Above I have posted all of the vendors I used as well as the soon-to-be mama’s outfit deets (obvi 🙂 ). I spent numerous hours looking on Etsy to find amazing artists and people to work with. The devil is in the details and signage makes ALL the difference. The best part about it is it’s inexpensive but really elevates the look of a party. Here’s a little tip for you: If you find a designer/artist you like on Etsy but don’t see exactly what you want, send them a message! I have had SO many custom things made!
I’m happy to announce Chelsea had her Baby girl, Emma, on July 1st! She is the most precious thing ever! Love to all of you mama’s out there!
