Hey Hey! Posting a healthy Halloween treat for the kiddos (and you) to enjoy – yogurt spider web bark! It’s super easy to make a packed with protein. You will need a toothpick to make the spider web shape, candy eye balls and small spiders.
My littles love this recipe and I’ve found it’s a great after school or dinner treat. Make sure to use GREEK yogurt. It has a thicker consistency and will work the best for bark 😉
See below for a list of ingredients and steps to make. I will be posting an Instagram tutorial soon! Look out for it.
2 cups whole milk plain greek yogurt – I use Straus
2 tablespoons almond butter
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1 tables coconut oil
festive items: candy eyes, spiders (for decor not to eat), dark chocolate chips
1. Place a piece of parchment paper on top of a baking sheet.
2. Spread yogurt evenly on top of the parchment paper using a spatula.
3. Drizzle almond butter on the yogurt.
4. Melt dark chocolate chips and coconut oil – microwave for about 30-60 seconds.
5. Dip a spoon into the melted chocolate mixture and create a spiral shape on top of the yogurt. Take your toothpick and drag from the center of the spiral outward. Repeat until it looks like a spider web. I did two webs on this bark – depends on how big you make them.
6. Place candy eye ball pairings and spiders (obviously don’t eat these they are for decorartion) throughout the yogurt.
7. Sprinkle dark chocolate chips on the yogurt.
8. Put the bark in the freezer to harden. This takes at least 2 hours.
9. Bring it out of the freezer and cut or break the bark into pieces. Enjoy!
*keep in an airtight container in the freezer (it melts!)
