Good morning! As I sip on my matcha protein drink I am writing this delicious recipe for y’all. About 4 months ago, I started to consciously eat more protein as well as stop drinking coffee. This is when I created this wonderful concoction. It was important to me to start the day with protein + feel calm. I noticed coffee was making me more anxious and upset my stomach – too acidic.
This is when I came across Kroma matcha powder via a friends recommendation. I love that the ingredients are: collagen, maca, natural caffeine, l-theanine, mushrooms, ginger and tumeric. Not only does it taste delicious but it also improves metabolism, amplifies focus and is naturally detoxifying. A serving is 30 calories and 6 grams of proteins.
In addition to the Kroma powder, I mix in a scoop of unflavored collagen powder for an extra 10 grams of protein, and a dash of cinnamon. I pour 6 ounces of hot water in my mug, add a little raw honey and mix well with a bamboo whisk. Lastly I add 4 ounces of frothed milk. I typically use oat – this brand. If you’re looking for a great frother, I love this one.
With the additional milk, the morning matcha drink has about 20 grams of protein. It’s such a great way to start the day!

1 scoop Kroma matcha powder
1 scoop Sports Research collagen powder
1 dash of cinnamon
raw honey
4 oz oat milk – sub any milk
1. Place the matcha powder, collagen and cinnamon into a large mug. Pour 6 ounces of boiling water on top and stir with a bamboo whisk.
2. Add a little bit of honey and whisk again. I use abut 1 teaspoon – depends on how sweet you want it.
3. Froth your milk of choice. Pour over the matcha drink. Enjoy!
