Happy Sunday! It seems appropriate to be sharing my favorite avocado toast recipe on a weekend. Brunch anyone? I make this ALL the time for myself and Ford. It’s a go-to breakfast/lunch in our home. This toast is packed full of healthy fats, is filling and SO tasty!
This recipe is VERY basic, but the secret to THE best avocado toast is, three ingredients… everything seasoning (not a surprise) paired with olive oil and lemon zest FOR THE WIN! Below I linked exact brands I use. For example not all salt is created equal! I wanted to be V specific for y’all 😉
I must also point out the gluten free bread I use. Last year I found THE most yummy sourdough bread company that is gf and vegan!! I signed up for a subscription and it arrives on my doorstep every two weeks. Everyone in my house is obsessed! The tangy flavor of sourdough pairs perfectly with creamy avocado, savory sea salt and the citrus of a lemon zest. TRY IT!!!
Ingredient list and steps to make my avo toast below…
Bread – I use Bread SRSLY gluten free sourdough
Avocado – make sure it is perfectly ripe, a bad avo can ruin it alllllll
Sea Salt – Maldon sea salt flakes
Everything Seasoning – What’s Gaby Cooking This is Everything Seasoning
Olive Oil – L’Estronell organic extra virgin olive oil
1. Lightly toast bread to warm it up and have a bit of a crisp.
2. Smash 1/4 to 1/2 of an avocado onto the toasted bread.
3. Sprinkle sea salt (a pinch) and everything seasoning on top.
4. Drizzle olive oil on top – about 1 teaspoon.
5. Zest a lemon over the toast. Add to your liking. Love the pop of citrus flavor!
