Hi there! I wanted to share my super easy DIY fruit and vegetable wash with y’all. It’s 3 simple ingredients: water, white vinegar and lemon juice. I use a glass bottle to mix it all up and spray on my produce. Bing. Bang. Boom!
The vinegar and lemon are a great way to ensure all of the bacteria is removed from the skin of your fruits and veggies. I now have Ford (my 3 year old) helping me with this and he LOVES to spray EVERYTHING 😉
Below is the list of ingredients including the exact brand of white vinegar I use, steps to make, cleaning instructions and shopping links to my kitchen goods. Happy cleaning!
2 cups water
1/4 cup white vinegar – I use Aunt Fannie’s
1/2 lemon juiced
Place all 3 ingredients into a glass bottle. Shake well to combine.
* I use this amber spray bottle.
1. Put fruit or vegetables into a large colander in the sink. Spray your produce liberally with the wash. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
2. Rinse your produce off with cool water.
3. Pat dry.

How long is the mix good for in the bottle? Does it go bad?
It does not go bad.
